Golden Hill Concert Series is nestled among the verdant Appalachian foothills of Northeast Georgia. For its first 4 years (2000 - 2004), the series was hosted by Golden Hill Community Center in the charming, unincorporated settlement of Hollingsworth. As of August 2004, Golden Hill Concert Series relocated to the 1887 Country Store at historic Smithville Village, which overlooks Hwy. 365 from a lovely hillock between the towns of Gainesville and Baldwin. |

Golden Hill Concert Series presents exceptional
evenings of original, acoustic-based music, featuring some of the finest
artists from the Southeast and beyond. Many of our artists have
played at Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and scores of
other nationally famous venues, in addition to their having toured the
national circuit of coffehouses, festivals, and small theatres.
These artists stand out among the movers and shakers who create and
perform deeply meaningful music today.
The series is intentionally free of strict classifications such as Folk, Blues, Jazz, Country, Pop, Bluegrass, etc.; rather, it embraces highly individualized acts that usually draw upon a variety of stylistic influences. The result is unique, superb performances - and memorable evenings of enjoyable music in the fellowship of others. Our atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and our goal is to bring great musicians and an appreciative audience together with the highest degree of fun possible at the most reasonable cost possible. Reservations are available by calling 706 778-5709. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. Adult admission by reservation is a mere $10 each, pre-teens pay only $5. Tickets at door are $12 & $6, respectively. Delicious food and drinks are available, and affordable, at each concert, and door prizes are often part of the festivities. Please send us an email to join Golden Hill's private e-mail list, and you'll get convenient notification of upcoming concerts about two weeks before each one takes place. And please note: Our concert organizer Dusk Weaver will NOT pass your e-mail address on to any other person or business, and he will use only individualized e-mails, or “blind” copies, to insure your privacy and peace of mind. |

Dusk and company will present originals from his two CD albums, a pair of new songs from Dusk's upcoming third CD album, and great covers by John Prine, Bruce Cockburn, Townes Van Zandt, and more. Sometimes presenting songs of outrageous fun, other times delving into poetic muse, Dusk & Sky will cover many genres including: Driving Cajun, Folk Rock, Country, Rockabilly, Latin Groove, Improv Swing, and Story Songs.
