A greetings - and a promise - from Dusk:

Welcome to the mail list, and I'm very glad you're interested in joining our happy band.

Please fill out the info below with the reassurance that I'll not let anyone else have your email address. Also, any group-type messages are sent out as "blind copy" to further ensure the privacy of list members.

I also promise to limit the number and content of messages to truly meaningful news and ideas. I might ask your opinion about a song in progress, or I might send advance notice about concert performances or broadcast interviews, for example, but I won't be emailing you some computer virus warning (or hoax) that you've already gotten 58 times that week... Yikes!

In the future, I hope we can also create an online group site so that list members who wish to do so may interact in a positive "meeting place."  The best of these groups are quite worthwhile, and I've really enjoyed being part of several that center 'round my favorite artists. One such group holds a thoroughly delightful get-together each year, and many of us have made long-term friendships there.

However, I don't know "beans" about setting up one of those web groups, and it's my fond hope that some wonderful, knowledgeable list member will come along to lead the effort (hint, hint).
